New Music Night to Start Next Month at The Globe

Following the success of The Newbury’s open mic nights, Sion Whiley is beginning a new night of music every month at The Globe

Newbury is set to get a new music night next month thanks to local musician, Sion Whiley, and the owners of The Globe.

Organiser of The Newbury’s open mic night, Mr Whiley said: “I was chatting with Colin, who’s the owner of The Globe, I suggested we start doing a monthly showcase with all the acts I’ve met and presented at the open mic over the past five years.

“I’ve got quite a roster of acts that I now trust and would happily push to other places as well.

“We’re going to start with a trio of solo acts and I’m expecting it to be a really successful event.”

Friday Night Live @ The Globe begins on 6^th May, 8pm.
